We would publicly like to thank the builder, TCQ, for their excellent relationship with the staff and children. They made it a very easy project for the school to manage. The building is a credit to their workmanship.

NATIONAL ASSSESSMENT PROGRAM

AEDI – AUSTRALIAN EARLY DEVELOPMENT INDEX

All kindergarten teachers in Australia are completing a survey about the development of the children in their class.  This will provide a wealth of information to guide future planning. No child is identified but the results are pooled to provide a snapshot of our community. A letter has gone out to all Kinder parents explaining the survey.

P&C MEETING

Tuesday,12 May, at 7:30pm in the staffroom we will be holding our next meeting of the Parents and Citizens Association. Come along and learn more about what is happening at school. There will be a tour of the new building, “Block G”, as part of the meeting.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Thank you to all the parents that came for a parent teacher interview. These are very valuable opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss student progress. I would also like to thank teachers for the great deal of time they have given up outside normal work hours to have these interviews.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

At Carlton Public School, we pride ourselves on being a uniform wearing school. All children should wear their uniform everyday. Non-uniform coloured hats, jumpers and track pants are unacceptable. Please ensure that your children wear their school uniform, including the correct shoes.
